Before visiting any country, the first thing most visitors will want to do is purchase a published travel guide that will give them as much information about travelling around the country. So in order to make it easier for Tanzanian visitors we have compiled a comprehensive list of Tanzanian books that can be bought online and delivered to your door. The list also includes guides to Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar, Swahili language and culture and some fiction novels to read while all tucked up in your tent under the African night skies.
While in Tanzania you may want to pick up some locally published magazines that have comprehensive travel info as well as some very interesting articles on Tanzanian tourism, culture, wildlife, conservation and events. Some of these can be found in most hotel rooms or at any of the main tourist places and can sometimes make for an amusing read.
