The retailer owned Shoprite Supermarkets bring customers lower prices they can trust on their basic food and household requirements in a convenient shopping environment.

In December 2001 the first Shoprite store (Pugu Road) in Dar es Salaam was opened offering a wide range of quality products at affordable prices. Since then, branches have opened at Mlimani City, Dar es Salaam and the TFA Shopping Complex in Arusha.
