Description
Embark on a 7-day machame route adventure to the summit of Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Trek through scenic routes through diverse landscapes, including rainforests, moorlands, and alpine deserts. Enjoy a sunrise experience from Uhuru Peak and cultural experiences with local communities along the trekking route. Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to a hotel in Moshi. Get a briefing and equipment check for the trek. Spend the night in Moshi. Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp Transfer to Machame Gate for registration and start trekking through the rainforest. Arrive at Machame Camp (3,010m) for overnight camping. Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp Trek through heather and moorland and cross the Shira Plateau with stunning views. Arrive at Shira Camp (3,845m) for overnight camping. Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp Ascend to Lava Tower (4,640m) for acclimatization and descend to Barranco Camp (3,960m) for overnight camping. Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp Climb the Barranco Wall and traverse the Karanga Valley. Arrive at Karanga Camp (4,035m) for overnight camping. Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp Ascend to Barafu Camp (4,640m), the base camp for the summit push. Rest and prepare for the summit attempt. Enjoy an early dinner and rest before the summit ascent. Day 7: Summit Day - Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp Start the ascent in the early hours towards Stella Point. Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) for sunrise. Descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest. Continue the descent to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for overnight camping. Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate - Departure Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Transfer back to Moshi. Attend a certificate presentation ceremony and depart from Kilimanjaro International Airport.Includes
