KILIMANJARO: BEST 6-DAY MOUNT KILIMANJARO MARANGU ROUTE TREK This Embark on a journey up Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route, also known as the 'Coca-Cola' route, on a 6-day adventure that combines physical challenge with breathtaking natural beauty. This route is famed for its comfort, as it offers hut accommodations, unlike the camping situation on other routes. Day 1: Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut Start at the Marangu Gate (1,860m) where you register with the park authorities. Trek through lush rainforests to the Mandara Hut (2,700m). The journey takes about 4-5 hours, covering 8km. Enjoy the surroundings and look out for the Colobus monkeys. Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut Depart Mandara, heading towards the moorland zone to reach Horombo Hut (3,720m). This 11km trek will take approximately 6-8 hours. Enjoy stunning views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Day 3: Horombo Hut (Acclimatization Day) Spend the day at Horombo for acclimatization. Opt for short treks to Zebra Rocks or Mawenzi Hut. It's crucial for adjusting to altitude and increasing summit success rates. Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut The trek becomes steeper and more rugged as you enter the alpine desert zone. Reach Kibo Hut (4,700m) after approximately 10km (6-8 hours). Rest and prepare for the midnight summit attempt. Day 5: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut Begin the final ascent around midnight, navigating the steep scree to Gilman's Point (5,685m) on the crater rim. Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the roof of Africa. After celebrating, descend to Horombo Hut for the night. Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate Descend through moorland to Mandara Hut, then through the forest to Marangu Gate. Receive your summit certificate. The descent covers 20km and takes about 5-7 hours.Includes
