MagPie Designs is a unique range of jewellery and household bowls and platters made from hand-cut and kiln-fused glass. Earrings, rings, chokers, cufflinks, bowls & platters - each piece is original! Glass fusing is an ancient craft first practiced by the Mesopotamians, developed by the Egyptians and refined by the Greeks and Romans. By the third century AD this technique for working glass had been replaced by better known glass blowing. It wasn't reborn until the 19th century - in France - and it is only in the last forty years that it has resumed its place as an established art form
