Whalerock is Marko and Petra. A creative team, double act, and husband and wife in our spare time, our fascination with people and passion for natural beauty drew us both to photography. Marko joined Petra on her personal photography project in Zanzibar in 2008, and combined his photography skills with her graphic design to create
unique, original, beautiful work.

Marko helps hobby photographers reach their artistic potential in his basic photography courses.
Petra co-founded Flame Tree Media Trust in 2001, to provide training opportunities to Tanzanian photojournalists.
