Description
This adventure begins with a trip to Materuni Waterfall followed by a bean-to-cup coffee tour and a stop at the Chemka Hot Spring. It gives travellers the opportunity to experience both the natural beauty of Tanzania as well as some local traditions and culture. Your guide will drive you to Materuni -the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park- where the waterfall is located. At a height of 85m it is the tallest waterfall in the country’s northern region. From the village you will hike for about 40 minutes down to the waterfall where you can enjoy the cool water from Kilimanjaro mountain. On leaving the waterfall you will be taken to a nearby community to learn about Arabica coffee. You will then have guided instructions on how to prepare coffee manually, from scratch, using local utensils and techniques. After enjoying some freshly brewed organic coffee you will relax to a lunch of typical Tanzanian dishes. We then set off for our final stop, Chemka Hot spring. Here you can enjoy a relaxing swim in the natural pools before returning to Arusha for drop off at your specified locations.Includes
