Description

We will first drive to the Marangu Gate. This is considered the easiest route to the peak of Kilimanjaro. From the gate, you will hike for roughly four hours to the Mandara Huts, birdwatching and enjoying Kilimanjaro's magical forest along the way. There are several streams and small waterfalls along the way. You will spend the night at the Mandara Huts. There are facilities and a cook will be provided for meals. The next morning, you will hike back down to the base of the mountain. Going down is a lot easier than going up so it will be about a two to three hour hike back to the gate.
