Day 1: Drive to Lake Natron Today you will take the destination to Lake natron where you will arrive in the afternoon depending on the time you started from Arusha, You will do some walking to the lake for wildlife and Flamingoes viewing, In the evening hours will be the perfect time for sundowners. Accommodation: Africa Safari Lake Natron lodge. Day 2: Lake Natron Lake Natron is located at the border between Tanzania and Kenya, right at the foot of Ol’ Doinyo Lengai, the sacred mountain of the Maasai. It is a maximum of 60 kilometers long and 20 kilometers wide. Thousands of flamingos have settled in the lake itself. As the water level falls, the salinity of the water increases which creates toxic bacteria. These pigmented bacteria are responsible for the lake’s rich red color. He in the Morning you will hike to Ngare sero waterfall and in the evening for those who wish will hike up to the Oldonyo Lengai mountain. Accommodation: Serengeti Kati kati Day 5: Full day in Serengeti National Park At times this unsurpassable place is home to over 1.6 million herbivores and the thousands of predators. Their fascinating habits and habitats are sure to provoke questions, so do ask your driver-guide to explain the amazing creatures you see all around you. At night, back at your accommodation, the sights, sounds and smells of Africa will continue to enchant you on this wilderness adventure. Accommodation: Serengeti Kati Kati Day 6: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater Before your thoughts turn to home. Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as a wonder of the world and your early morning game drive shows you why. First, there’s the volcanic caldera (the world’s largest), full of grassland, forest and swamp, a setting of jaw-dropping beauty. Secondly, the permanent water of the crater floor supports a resident population of more than 25,000 large mammals. Here you’ll find many of the reasons you chose to come on safari: elephant, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, wallowing hippo, waterbuck, baboons… even the rare black rhino finds shelter here.
