Embark on an exhilarating 3-day wildlife adventure from Dar Es Salaam to Selous and immerse yourself in the untamed beauty of Tanzania's wilderness. Traverse diverse landscapes as you journey from the bustling city to the Selous Game Reserve, one of Africa's largest and most captivating wildlife sanctuaries. Witness majestic elephants, graceful lions, and an array of other captivating wildlife in their natural habitat. Engage in thrilling game drives led by experienced guides, offering unique insights into the animals' behaviors. Day 1: Dar es Salaam To Nyerere National Park & Boat Safari Our professional driver will pick you up from Dar es Salaam and transfer you to Nyerere National Park. On arrival, you will be taken to lodge or camp for relaxation. Later, you will go for a village walking tour with our professional guide to see various activities conducted by the villagers and learn about their culture. After completing the village tour, you will return to Africa Safari Selous for lunch. From 16:00 up to sunset, you will do a boat safari tour on the Rufiji River, the biggest and longest river in Tanzania. It is approximately 600 kilometers (370 miles) long, with its source in southwestern Tanzania and its mouth on the opposite side of the Indian Ocean. The river has many attractions including crocodiles, hippos, river cliffs, birds and more. Accommodation Selous Safari Lodge - Mid-range lodge located just outside Nyerere NP Meals & Drinks: Lunch & dinner And Non-alcoholic drinks (Breakfast not included) Day 2: Full-day Game Drive At Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve) After breakfast, you will do a full-day game drive from 07h30 until the evening in Nyerere National Park (formerly known as Selous Game Reserve). The journey will start from the lodge or camp where you will be picked up by our professional drivers and guides. Today, you will get to enjoy various tourist attractions like spotting wildlife including elephant, zebra, giraffe, antelope and more. You will also see birds and other landscape scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains. In the afternoon, you will get a packed lunch and some time to rest, then continue with the game drive. In the evening, you will return to accommodation for dinner and overnight and to prepare for the last day. Accommodation Selous Safari Lodge - Mid-range lodge located just outside Nyerere NP Meals & Drinks: All meals included And Non-alcoholic drinks Day 3: Walking Safari & Back To Dar es Salaam On your last day, before breakfast, you will do a walking tour in the forest, accompanied by an armed ranger. The walk takes about 1 hour and half, then return to the camp for breakfast. We prepare for our trip to Dar es Salaam where you will be dropped off by our driver at your hotel.
