Located on the edge of the Mahale forest on a secluded beach, Kungwe Beach Lodge is the perfect blend of comfort and luxury in an intimate setting with breathtaking views over the crystal clear waters of Lake Tanganyika.
Accommodation is in spacious en-suite tents all with stunning views of the lake. The raised thatched dining area, built in the shape of a traditional Dhow boat, is where meals are served also offering a cozy lounge area, with a small selection of books and board games for lazy days.
After full day of either chimpanzee trekking or lake activities, guests can enjoy sundowners around a crackling fire whilst the sun slowly slips over the Congo mountains on the other side of the lake.
Candlelit dinners are served on the beach, to the unique sounds of the night calls of chimpanzees, the perfect way to end a day!
