Leave Zanzibar’s beach resorts behind and discover the culture, nature, and community life of Pete Village. Explore a natural limestone cave as your guide shares its cultural significance, traditional uses, and local legends. Continue to a butterfly centre to learn about native species and local conservation efforts.
Walk through Pete Village to meet residents and learn about its traditions, architecture, and daily life. Join local women artisans for a hands-on handicraft workshop, with sessions that may include basket weaving, batik making, or jewellery creation.
Visit an organic farm to explore spice and fruit plantations, learn about sustainable growing methods, and taste tropical fruits and herbs. Then paddle through the mangroves of Pete Inlet by kayak or traditional canoe while looking out for birds, crabs, and marine life.
Finish with a community-prepared Swahili lunch buffet overlooking the inlet. Enjoy rice, vegetables, seafood, tropical fruits, soft drinks, and water before your return transfer.
