Begin your tour by exploring the Jozani Forest, a great place to encounter many indigenous varieties of flora and fauna, including the Zanzibari Red Colobus Monkey. Other sights and species that you might catch a glimpse of include the Mangrove conservation area, Blue Sykes’ Monkeys, Bush Pigs, Ader’s duikers, Elephant Shrews, Chameleons, and numerous birds and butterflies. The best time to see the wildlife of Jozani is early in the morning.
Next, visit the Salaam Cave, which houses and cares for sea turtles, providing a safe environment for these magnificent creatures. Visitors have the opportunity to learn about sea turtle conservation, as well as observe the turtles up close, feed them, and pose with them for pictures.
