Option 1: Jozani Forest Tour and Spice Farm Tour Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park or where to meet the Red Colobus of Zanzibar Jozani Forest is in the south of the island and is the largest area of mature forest in Zanzibar. A car will take you there, and a guide will walk you around the ancient hardwood forest and mangrove swamps. It is also home to the Red Colobus monkeys, unique to Zanzibar, with less than 2000 remaining in the world. A boardwalk around the mangrove swamp at the end of the tour is also included. Discover more about the origins and flavors of spices Your next spot will be the Spice Farm where you will discover why Zanzibar is called the Spice Island. You will learn all about the fruits, plants and spices planted on the island. Option 3: Stone Town, Cooking Lesson and Spice Farm Tour Experience the best of Zanzibar on this tour of Stone Town by foot. Embark on a culinary journey, savor the pleasures of a traditional cooking lesson at the Spice Farm. Through a local guide discover the beauty of Stone Town which is the oldest city in Zanzibar. Take in the different historical landmarks and discover how the town has changed over time. This tour is a walking tour and with this, you will meet the locals and discover the best places to visit. From the ancient buildings to the busy markets and even learn a little about the slavery that took place in the past. For museums that we pass by during this tour, there will be additional costs for the entrance fees to be paid at the location. Then, you will head on to the Spice Farm. Later, you will have the opportunity to refine your culinary skills by using some spices you've just encountered during your tour.
