Begin with a pickup from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and travel through the scenic countryside to Materuni Village, located on the lush foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Meet your local guide and begin a rewarding hike through coffee farms, banana plantations, and tropical vegetation. Follow the trail to the magnificent Materuni Waterfall, where cascading mountain water, refreshing mist, and beautiful natural surroundings create excellent opportunities for sightseeing and photography. Return to the village for an interactive farm-to-cup coffee experience hosted by the local Chagga community. Learn how Arabica coffee is cultivated, harvested, dried, roasted, ground, and traditionally brewed. Participate in the preparation process, enjoy lively local songs, and taste a freshly brewed cup of Kilimanjaro coffee. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious Tanzanian lunch prepared using fresh local ingredients. Continue to Chemka Hot Springs, also known as Kikuletwa Hot Springs. Hidden among tropical vegetation and large fig trees, this peaceful oasis is famous for its clear turquoise water. Although called hot springs, the water is naturally refreshing rather than hot. • The Materuni Waterfall hike takes approximately 45–60 minutes each way along steep, uneven, muddy, and sometimes slippery paths. A moderate level of fitness is recommended for the waterfall hike. Wear sturdy walking shoes and bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and a light rain jacket. Chemka Hot Springs has naturally refreshing water rather than hot water. Swimming is optional and depends on weather, water conditions, and local safety guidance. Please inform us in advance about dietary requirements, allergies, medical conditions, or mobility limitations. Children must remain under the supervision of a parent or guardian throughout the tour. Mount Kilimanjaro views depend on the weather and cannot be guaranteed. Pickup time may vary depending on your hotel location in Moshi or Arusha.
