Description

Your day begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a comfortable drive toward the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you’ll pass through changing landscapes and local villages, with a brief stop in Mto wa Mbu, offering a chance to stretch, observe daily life, and experience a bit of the local atmosphere. Upon entering Lake Manyara National Park, your game drive unfolds across a variety of habitats, from lush groundwater forests to open grasslands and the lake’s shimmering shoreline. The park is known for its rich wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and large troops of baboons. With a bit of luck, you may also encounter the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Birdlife is equally rewarding, especially near the lake, where flamingos and other waterbirds gather, alongside a variety of colorful species found throughout the park. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a designated site within the park, offering time to relax and take in the natural surroundings before continuing your exploration.
