Description

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu After breakfast, your professional safari guide will collect you from your hotel in Arusha and begin the drive toward Tarangire National Park. After entering the park, enjoy an exciting game drive through landscapes dominated by enormous baobab trees, savannah plains, seasonal wetlands, and the Tarangire River. Tarangire is particularly famous for its elephants, but you may also encounter giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, monkeys, and numerous bird species. Lions are regularly seen, while leopards and cheetahs may also appear with some luck. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, leave Tarangire and travel to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 2: Karatu – Materuni Waterfalls Hike & Coffee Experience – Moshi After breakfast, depart Karatu and travel toward the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro for your Materuni Village experience. On arrival, meet your local guide and begin a scenic hike through the green countryside toward Materuni Waterfalls, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the Kilimanjaro region. Walk through coffee plantations, banana farms, and traditional Chagga countryside while learning about local life and agriculture. At the waterfall, enjoy time to take photographs, appreciate the dramatic scenery, and relax beside the cascading water. Afterwards, return to the village for an authentic coffee-making experience. Learn how coffee beans are picked, dried, roasted, ground, and traditionally brewed while participating in the process yourself. Enjoy a freshly prepared cup of Tanzanian coffee before continuing to Moshi. Day 3: Moshi – Chemka Hot Springs – Arusha After breakfast, depart Moshi and travel through the countryside toward the spectacular Chemka Hot Springs, also known as Kikuletwa Hot Springs. Hidden among trees in the Kilimanjaro region, this beautiful natural oasis features clear turquoise water surrounded by tropical vegetation. Spend the day swimming, relaxing, taking photographs, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The naturally clear spring water provides the perfect refreshing experience after your safari and waterfall hike. Lunch will be served during the excursion before you begin your return journey to Arusha in the afternoon. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be transferred to your hotel or another agreed drop-off point, marking the end of your 3-Day Tanzania Safari, Materuni Falls, Coffee & Hot Springs Adventure.

Important Information

• This is a 3-day experience combining a Tanzania wildlife safari with Materuni Waterfalls and Kikuletwa/Chemka Hot Springs. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for the Materuni Waterfalls hike, as some sections may be uneven, muddy, or slippery. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, insect repellent, and a light jacket. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, as animals move freely in their natural habitat. Safari routes and timing may change slightly depending on weather, road conditions, and wildlife movement. Please advise us in advance of any dietary requirements, allergies, mobility concerns, or medical conditions that may affect participation. Keep your passport or a copy of your identification with you during the tour. Guests should bring enough personal cash for tips, souvenirs, drinks, and other expenses not included in the package.
