Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park Your private driver-guide will collect you from your hotel in Arusha in the morning and provide a short safari briefing before driving to Tarangire National Park. Known for its enormous elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal Tarangire River, the park provides exceptional wildlife-viewing and photography opportunities. Enjoy a private game drive while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Your guide will explain animal behavior, habitats, and seasonal wildlife movements while adjusting the game drive to your interests. After a picnic lunch and afternoon wildlife viewing, continue to Tarangire Osupuko Lodge for dinner and overnight. This comfortable mid-range lodge offers private en-suite rooms, quality dining facilities, and a peaceful atmosphere near the Tarangire ecosystem. Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater After an early breakfast, travel through the scenic northern Tanzanian countryside toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and the endangered black rhinoceros. The crater’s diverse habitats—including grasslands, forests, wetlands, and a seasonal lake—support an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Afterwards, travel to Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp for dinner and overnight. The camp provides spacious permanent safari tents, private bathrooms, comfortable beds, and an authentic wilderness atmosphere. Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park and Return to Arusha After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for the final game drive. The park is known for its groundwater forest, acacia woodland, open floodplains, and spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Look for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, baboons, monkeys, and colorful birdlife. Lake Manyara is also associated with tree-climbing lions, although sightings are uncommon and cannot be guaranteed. Your guide will select the most productive areas according to recent wildlife movements and park conditions. After the game drive and picnic lunch, return to Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening. Drop-off is available at your hotel within central Arusha. Transfers to Arusha Airport, Kilimanjaro International Airport, or Moshi can be arranged upon request.

• This is a private 3-day safari departing from and returning to Arusha. The standard itinerary visits Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park. You will travel in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof and a professional English-speaking driver-guide. Wildlife sightings are highly likely but cannot be guaranteed because animals roam freely in their natural habitats. Expect early departures, extended game drives, uneven roads, dust, and moderate travel times between destinations. The Ngorongoro highlands can be cold during mornings and evenings, so bring a warm jacket or sweater. Pack comfortable clothing in neutral colours, closed walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, insect repellent, binoculars, and a camera. Bring a small soft-sided travel bag, as storage space in safari vehicles may be limited. Large hard-shell suitcases are not recommended.
