Description
A day tour in Arusha that includes a visit to Arusha Waterfall, a coffee tour, and a village walk in Tengeru typically starts with pick-up at around 9:00 am near Arusha town. Upon arrival at Tengeru Cultural Center, you will be greeted by a local guide who will introduce you to the Meru tribe's history, traditions, and lifestyle. You'll have the opportunity to taste natural coffee and how you can prepare it in a local way.
The tour continues with a hike through the village where you can interact with locals, take photos with children (with permission), and explore coffee plantations. You'll learn about the origins of coffee, its cultivation, harvesting, and processing. Afterward, you'll return to the center to process and enjoy a cup of coffee made by your own hands.
Following the coffee experience, you'll savor a traditional lunch before heading to Lake Duluti, located about 3 kilometers from the Tengeru. At the lake, you'll discover the significance of the area to the Meru tribe and learn about local rituals and legends connected to the lake.
The day tour may also include activities like a nature walk to Mangalia Falls and transfers between your hotel to Tengeru villages
