Tour Overview
Embark on a 3-day Big Five camping safari to the iconic Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy thrilling game drives across vast savannahs in search of the Big Five, with an optional hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti at sunrise followed by a bush breakfast. This journey combines raw wilderness, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable safari moments.
Day 1: Arusha – Serengeti National Park
Depart Arusha early and drive through the Great Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Highlands to Serengeti. Stop in Mto wa Mbu for a picnic lunch en route. Enter the park via Naabi Hill Gate and enjoy an afternoon game drive spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, and more.

Overnight in Serengeti: Tumbili Public campsite
Day 2: Serengeti (Optional Balloon Safari) – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Start the day with an optional hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti plains, followed by a bush breakfast. Continue with a morning game drive across the savannah. After lunch, depart Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Overnight in Ngorongoro: Simba Public campsite
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a big five game drive, one of Africa’s best wildlife viewing areas. Spot the Big Five, hippos, zebras, and diverse birdlife. After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater and return to Arusha in the late afternoon.

Important Information
- It is important to pack suitable clothing for your safari. We recommend neutral colours such as white, beige, and green to blend well with the environment. Please also bring a warm sweater, jacket, and socks, as temperatures in the parks can drop to around 5°C at night and early morning.
Luggage Guidelines:
We kindly advise packing only essential items for the safari, as space in the safari vehicle is limited to ensure comfort and safety. However, there is no need to worry about excess luggage. We can assist in arranging secure storage at your hotel in Arusha or at our office, where you may leave additional bags and collect them after your safari.
