Dar es Salaam Yacht Club is a Members club for watersports including sailing, fishing, diving and kayaking.
Founded in 1933 on the waters' edge of Dar es Salaam harbour, the club remained in the harbour until 1967 when it moved to the present site of Leopard's Cove in the clean waters of Msasani Bay.
From a purely sailing club it set up the power boat section and then the diving section. Joining Dar es Salaam Yacht Club is a simple matter, and you do not have to be a sailor to join. There are also the possibilities of fishing, scuba diving, swimming, sail boarding & kayaking.
