Description
Early Morning: Depart early from Arusha/Moshi for the 3-4 hour drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Gate. Enjoy the beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
Mid-Morning: Complete registration formalities at the rim and begin the thrilling 600m descent into the caldera. The game drive begins immediately, focusing on the central plains.
Afternoon: Engage in the most intense period of game viewing, searching for lions, cheetahs, and the endangered black rhino. You will then have a boxed picnic lunch near the Hippo Pool.
Mid-Afternoon: Continue the final game drive, exploring the perimeter and Lake Magadi for large flocks of flamingos. Begin the ascent out of the Ngorongoro Crater.
Evening: Start the journey back to your city of departure either Arusha or Moshi and be dropped off at your hotel/airport.
