Description
Begin your day with a morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar and travel to Mkokotoni. Board a boat and enjoy a 40-minute ride to Tumbatu Island.
Upon arrival, step into a local village and get a closer look at the island’s cultural heritage and traditional way of life. Meet members of the local community and learn about customs, daily routines, and traditional crafts. You will also be introduced to Tumbatu wearing style, including kanga and kikoi.
Later, head out for guided snorkeling in the waters around the island. Swim in clear sea conditions and look out for marine life below the surface. After the snorkeling session, relax and enjoy a traditional local meal with soft drinks and tropical fruits.
In the afternoon, begin the return journey by boat and transfer back to Zanzibar, with drop-off at your hotel at the end of the activity.
