Spices and Herbs Ethiopian Restaurant & Lodge - located at Simeon Road (opposite Le Jacaranda). This restaurant serves authentic Ethiopian food which is one of the most unique cuisines in the world. The staple of most dishes is Injera, a soft flat bread made from teff grain harvested only in Ethiopia. Injera is usually served with various meat or vegetarian sauces and accompanied by tell (beer) or arekie (liquor).
On offer is an expansive menu offering a variety of both meat and vegetarian dishes. The dishes ingredients are fresh and among the treats on offer are yedinich wot (Potato stew), yefasolia wot (Split pea and string bean stew), yebeg tibs (Fried lamb with Ethiopian butter, onions green peppers and rosemary) and yeassa wot (Fish stew).
Spices & Herbs also has on offer accommodation situated at the back of the restaurant.
