Description

Day 1: Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park Begin with a pickup from your hotel, airport, or ferry terminal in Zanzibar. Board a train to Morogoro, a journey of about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Upon arrival, meet your driver-guide and continue by car to Mikumi National Park, a drive of approximately 2 hours. Enjoy a light lunch and a short time to relax. In the evening, visit a Maasai Boma for a cultural experience before being transferred to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 2: Game Drive in Mikumi National Park After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive to spot animals in Mikumi National Park. The park is stretched across a big plain, allowing you to spot a variety of animals. Look out for lions, elephants, buffalos, impalas, zebras, and many other wild animals. Enjoy lunch at the picnic campsites in Mikumi National Park. After the game drive, head back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 3: Mikumi to Dar es Salaam After an early morning breakfast, check out and drive from your lodge back toward Morogoro town. Upon arrival in Morogoro, board the train back to Dar es Salaam. Once you arrive in Dar es Salaam, be dropped off at your preferred location—either the ferry terminal for the second or last ferry to Zanzibar, the airport, or your hotel.
