Description

Embark on an exciting luxury speedboat island hopping excursion on the west of Zanzibar. Discover the historical Prison Island, relax and take in breathtaking views of the picturesque Nakupenda Sandbank. Begin your tour with a comfortable hotel pick-up at 8.45 AM, riding in an air-conditioned minivan to Stone Town, where your day of exploration begins. Alternatively, meet your certified guide at the central meeting point at the Verde Marina at 9:45 AM. Receive a short briefing on the day's itinerary and make your way to the jetty. Climb aboard the speed boat and jet off towards the Prison Island. Enjoy the exhilarating power boat ride, taking in the beauty of seemingly endless stretches of the sea as you effortlessly glide over the turquoise blue waters. Explore the ancient prison ruins which were erected by the British colony of Zanzibar. Then, visit the Aldabra tortoise sanctuary – one of the largest tortoises in the world, weighing up to 200 kilos, also known to be one of the longest-living creatures in the world. Saving the best for last, head to Nakupenda Sandbank where you will enjoy a delicious beach barbeque taking in the magnificent views of the sandbank. After lunch, you can enjoy some relaxation time on the beach - have the leisure to relax soak up the sun, swim and walk around the beautiful sandbank.
