Description

After an hour’s drive, you will arrive at Jozani National Park and embark on a forest walk to observe the monkeys and see the jungle. During the guided jungle walk, you will quickly learn about the monkey species unique to Zanzibar, as well as the plants and other animals such as the elephant seal. After a forest walk and a short drive to the other side of the national park, you will explore the mystical world of Zanzibar’s mangroves. A walk along the wooden path will reveal thousands of black crabs working under the mangroves, and if you are lucky, you may even hear the mangroves talking. From Jozani National Park, you will depart and drive almost 30 minutes to the small village of Kizimkazi to visit the Salaam Cave Sea Turtle Sanctuary. The cave shelters and cares for sea turtles and provides a safe haven for these incredible creatures. Visitors can learn about sea turtle conservation and rehabilitation efforts and see the turtles up close. It's a great way to help protect sea turtles while learning about the importance of protecting their natural habitats.
