Description

Day 1: Zanzibar to Kigoma Begin your adventure with a flight from Zanzibar to Kigoma, the home of chimpanzees and Lake Tanganyika, Africa's deepest lake. Upon arrival, relax at your lodge and enjoy a leisurely lunch. In the evening, embark on a city tour of Kigoma. Visit the Kigoma Museum to learn about Dr. Livingston and the history of the slave trade. Discover the story of the old ship, Liemba, and explore the local market to see and buy local fruits and other goods. Return to your lodge for the night. Day 2: Gombe Stream National Park Start your day with an early morning transfer to the Kibilizi ferry. Sail to Gombe Stream National Park and begin your chimp trekking adventure. Explore the unique Tanzanian nature and wildlife with experienced forest guides who will share their knowledge about the forest and chimpanzees. Enjoy an authentic restaurant lunch in the afternoon. After lunch, continue exploring the forest to see attractions like Kikombe Waterfall or Mkenge Waterfall. Climb Jane’s Peak for an unforgettable view of the park and the lush green Gombe forest. Return to Kigoma town in the late afternoon and transfer back to your lodge. Day 3: Return to Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam After breakfast, transfer to Kigoma Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam.
