Serengeti Balloon Safari Experience Overview Soar above the endless plains of the Serengeti at sunrise on an unforgettable hot-air balloon safari. Drift silently over herds of wildlife, watch the sun paint the horizon in golden light, and end your adventure with a traditional champagne toast and a freshly prepared bush breakfast in the heart of nature. This once-in-a-lifetime experience combines adventure, breathtaking views, and authentic safari charm. Night Before Your Flight On the evening prior to your flight, our professional balloon team will visit your lodge or camp to give you a short pre-flight briefing. They will confirm your exact pick-up time, explain what to expect during the entire experience, share important safety guidelines, and answer any questions you may have. You’ll also receive helpful tips on what to wear and bring for your comfort. This briefing ensures you’re fully prepared and relaxed for the adventure ahead. Day of the Flight • Early Morning Collection (04:00–05:00 AM): You’ll be picked up from your lodge or camp in a Land Rover/Land Cruiser and transferred to the launch site. This drive doubles as a night game drive, with the chance to spot nocturnal wildlife along the way. • Pre-Flight Preparation: At the launch site, meet your pilot, receive a safety briefing, and watch the balloon inflate under the starlit sky, an exciting experience in itself. • Take-Off at Dawn (~06:30 AM): Float gently as the sun rises over the Serengeti. Depending on the wind, your pilot may fly at treetop level for close-up views of animals below or soar up to 1,000 feet for breathtaking panoramic vistas of the endless plains. Enjoy the silence between burner blasts, broken only by the sounds of nature. • Flight Duration: Approximately 1 hour, depending on weather conditions. Landing & Bush Breakfast After landing, celebrate with a traditional champagne toast (excellent sparkling wine) followed by a freshly prepared “Out of Africa” style bush breakfast in a stunning wilderness setting. A proper field restroom is also available on site. After the Flight • Receive your personalized Balloon Safari certificate. • Around 09:45 to 10:15 AM, meet with your safari driver to continue your day’s game drive. • Later, you’ll receive a link to complimentary photographs from your flight, so you can relive the memories and share them with friends and family.
