Day 1 - Arusha to Serengeti (Flight to Serengeti(Seronera, Kogatende) From Arusha, fly straight to serengeti.Flying over the Serengeti provides an aerial sneak-peek of the adventure that awaits below. With clear skies, you will be able to take delight in spotting some of the Serengeti resident wildlife as your plane descends for a landing on the Seronera airstrip. On arrival, you transfer into your safari jeep and begin exploring the Serengeti surroundings, before enjoying a sundowner at your home away from home in the wilderness – Hippo Trails Tented Serengeti. With over 14,000 square Km making up the Serengeti, you may not get the chance to see the national park in its entirety, but this itinerary will allow you the opportunity to cover some serious terrain and see the park in great depth. Main Destination: Serengeti National Park Day 2 - Serengeti National Park This morning, you will enjoy breakfast before embarking on a guided game drive en route to Central Serengeti, accompanied by picnic lunches. You will bid farewell to Serengeti North, proceed with a game drive toward the Serengeti Central. You will get a chance to explore the central region of the Serengeti. Witness an incredibly diverse ecosystem where lions and hyenas vie for prey such as wildebeest and Zebras; then proceed to your Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Main Destination: Serengeti National Park Day 3 - Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater Early this morning, you will enjoy your breakfast at the lodge, and then you will head out on a guided game drive, on your way to Ngorongoro with picnic lunches. you will say goodby to serengeti and continue the game drive to the crater floor. You will see an astonishingly rich, self-contained ecosystem that is protected by the high crater walls. See hundreds of wildebeest and zebras and often lions and other big cats such as leopards, you will have a remarkable view of this impressive natural wonder, then head to Karatu for Dinner and Overnight. Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater Day 4 - Karatu - Mto wa Mbu - Airport Mto wa Mbu cultural tour: What to expect During this half-day tour, you will get a chance to meet the local inhabitants of Mto wa Mbu and see how they provide for themselves. Part of the tour is experiencing how Tanzania's lands are farmed and how its products are being processed. You'll learn about the uses of different bananas and get a chance to try Tanzania's very own banana beers, a local brewery of the Chagga tribe. Furthermore we learn about some other unique trades and craftsmanship that are only practiced by certain tribes in Tanzania, like the wood-carving skills of the Makonde tribe. You'll also get a chance to visit a local school. The activity can be done both as a half- or full-day tour, the full day tour explores more parts of Mto wa Mbu, including a short hike. Afterwords Say Goodby to Mto wa mbu and start heading to Kilimanjaro Airport for your Flight to Zanzibar.
