Day 1: Zanzibar to Selous via Ferry to Dar es Salaam, then Game Drive in Selous Game Reserve Your adventure begins with an early departure from Zanzibar, where you board a ferry that offers a scenic journey across the Indian Ocean. As you glide toward Dar es Salaam, enjoy the refreshing sea breeze and views of the vibrant coastline. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be met by your guide and continue by road to the Selous Game Reserve, one of the largest and most pristine wildlife areas in Africa. The Selous Game Reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. After checking in at your accommodation, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive through the park, where you'll encounter Africa’s iconic wildlife—elephants, lions, giraffes, and buffaloes, along with rare species such as the wild dog. The landscape is breathtaking, with dense forests, river systems, and open savannahs providing the perfect habitat for the diverse range of species that call this reserve home.
