Description
Day 1: Zanzibar to Serengeti – Fly-In & Afternoon Game Drive Start your safari with an early morning transfer from your Zanzibar hotel to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. Board a scheduled flight to Seronera Airstrip, located in the heart of the Serengeti ecosystem. As your plane descends, be greeted by the vast expanse of savannah and wildlife-rich terrain. Your adventure begins even before landing. Upon arrival, meet our professional English-speaking safari guide and embark on your first game drive in the central Serengeti. During your game drive, depending on the time of year, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration—a dramatic spectacle where millions of wildebeest, accompanied by zebras, move in search of fresh grazing, followed by predators like lions and hyenas. This migratory phenomenon is one of nature’s most breathtaking displays. After your afternoon game drive, enjoy a bush lunch or picnic before continuing your exploration of the Serengeti. By evening, arrive at your carefully selected mid-range lodge in the heart of the Serengeti wilderness. After a warm welcome, settle into your private room and enjoy a gourmet dinner under the stars, reflecting on your first thrilling day of safari. Day 2: Serengeti to Zanzibar – Morning Game Drive & Return Flight Wake up early to the sounds of the African bush and prepare for your second safari experience with a sunrise game drive. Early mornings are the best time to observe wildlife, as animals are most active during this time. Your guide will take you to new areas, such as open plains, riverbanks, or kopjes (rocky outcrops), where you may encounter predators on the hunt or grazing herds in the soft morning light. The Great Wildebeest Migration may still be in full force, and depending on the season, you could witness massive herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains, followed by hungry predators. It’s a thrilling opportunity to see the circle of life in action, with dramatic river crossings or intense hunts. After your game drive, return to camp for a hearty breakfast, then check out and transfer back to Seronera Airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar. Depending on the time of your departure, you’ll arrive back on the island in the afternoon, where a driver will take you back to your hotel or beach resort.Includes
