Description

Embark on a 3-day safari to Udzungwa and Mikumi, with SGR train transfers for comfort. Explore the Udzungwa Mountains National Park, a tropical forest home to unique plants, animals, and 10 primate species. Discover Mikumi, a landscape that provides serene wildlife viewing with animals like impalas, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. Day 1: Dar es Salaam and Mikumi National Park Start your adventure with a pickup from your hotel or the ferry and drive to the SGR station for your train to the Morogoro region. Upon arrival, your driver guide will take you to Mikumi National Park for a late morning game drive until the afternoon. After lunch, relax before continuing with the afternoon to evening game drive. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Camp Bastian Mikumi. Day 2: Trekking in Udzungwa Mountains National Park After breakfast, drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park, with a packed lunch provided by the park. Enjoy lunch at one of the picnic campsites selected by your guide. Continue your hike to the Sanje Waterfalls, a unique and stunning feature of the Udzungwa Mountains. During your trek, you may encounter various primates, including baboons, monkeys, Colobus, and many others. Return to Camp Bastian in Mikumi for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 3: Mikumi to Dar es Salaam The morning after breakfast, depart to Dar es Salaam by train from Morogoro, where you can catch your ferry to Zanzibar, relax at your hotel, or head to the airport.
