Description

Begin your adventure with a bus journey from Arusha to Morogoro Msamvu Bus Station. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to the Uluguru Mountain start point to begin your hiking adventure. Set out on a scenic hike ascending approximately 7 kilometers to the Morningside campsite. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of rolling hills and valleys, listen for native birdcalls, and take advantage of numerous photo opportunities. The trail winds through vibrant tropical forests and local villages, offering a rich connection with nature and culture. Upon arrival at the campsite, be welcomed with a freshly prepared meal and have time to relax while soaking in panoramic views of Morogoro town and the surrounding valleys. As evening falls, gather around a warm bonfire to enjoy traditional roasted meat (nyama choma) and local banana dishes. The clear mountain sky provides an excellent opportunity for stargazing, complemented by storytelling from your guide. Wake up to fresh mountain air and a hearty breakfast before continuing your journey with a nature and heritage hike. Visit a nearby strawberry farm to see local agriculture firsthand, and explore the historic German Church, a notable cultural landmark. Next, continue to the breathtaking Choma Waterfalls, where you can relax, take refreshing swims, and capture memorable photos of this pristine natural site. Afterward, descend on a scenic 6-kilometer downhill trail to Kireka Pitstop, where a traditional local lunch awaits in a peaceful setting.
