Embark on a one-day hike of Mount Meru, a dormant stratovolcano situated within Arusha National Park. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery, including lush greenery and diverse wildlife, and engage with the local communities residing on the mountain's slopes. Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha and head to the Tengeru Cultural Center. Enjoy breakfast while a guide provides an overview of the one-day Mount Meru hike. Embark on a hike along a tropical trail shaded by banana trees, during which your guide will share captivating legendary tales about the Meru people. Continue your ascent up the mountain, taking in the rich biodiversity of the forest, including various bird species, beautiful butterflies, monkeys, forest antelopes, and numerous medicinal plants. Enjoy stunning views of the lower Arusha region. After a brief period, pause for lunch at a comfortable location. Following lunch, resume your hike for an hour until you reach Meru Falls, situated at an altitude of 2,200 meters. The falls are magnificent and refreshing, providing you with an opportunity to rejuvenate at this scenic spot. After spending a few hours relaxing and appreciating the beauty of Meru, begin your descent back to the crater. Arrive back at the crater, where you will meet your guide. Your safari driver will then transport you back to your hotel in Arusha town.
