Description

Embark on a full-day safari adventure in Arusha National Park. Enjoy a game drive, a walking safari with an armed ranger, and a picnic lunch. Opt to extend your game drive with a canoeing experience on Momella Lakes. Start your day with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Meet your guide and board a 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof. Enjoy a short briefing about the itinerary and safety guidelines. Receive bottled water and snacks for the road. Drive to Arusha National Park, taking in views of Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest peak. Pass by local villages and coffee plantations, offering a glimpse into the daily lives of the local people. Arrive at the park and embark on a morning game drive. Explore the park’s diverse ecosystems, including lush forests, savannahs, swamps, and lakes. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, and bushbucks. The park is home to the rare black-and-white colobus monkeys, often seen leaping between trees. Birdwatchers will be delighted to see flamingos, crowned eagles, hornbills, and herons. The Momella Lakes provide excellent photo opportunities with their mirror-like reflections of Mount Meru. Stop at Serengeti Ndogo ('Little Serengeti'), an open grassland where herds of animals graze peacefully. If lucky, you may spot a leopard resting in the trees or an elephant wandering through the forest. Embark on a walking safari with an armed ranger. Explore the park on foot, getting up close to nature. Enjoy sights of zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and smaller wildlife species. Learn about animal tracks, medicinal plants, and the ecosystem’s balance from your guide. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in a designated area inside the park. Relax while soaking in the incredible views of Mount Meru and the surrounding landscapes. Opt to extend your game drive with a canoeing experience on Momella Lakes. Paddle through the shallow waters in a stable canoe. Spot hippos, flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds. Enjoy a short afternoon game drive before leaving the park. Visit the Tululusia Waterfall, a hidden gem inside the park. Take a short walk to the waterfall, where you can take photos and enjoy the refreshing atmosphere. Say goodbye to Arusha National Park as you head back to Arusha town. Enjoy the last glimpses of the wildlife and landscapes on your way out. Arrive back at your hotel in the evening.
