Description

See Africa's Big Five on this comprehensive safari tour on wheels. Experience the best of the open road on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure into the Tanzanian wilderness. This journey is in a 4×4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof. Visit Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Day 1 Arusha to Tarangire National Park Arusha is the safari capital of the country and a bustling tourism-driven city. Your driver-guide will meet you in Arusha or at Arusha Airport, and together, you will begin the transfer to Tarangire National Park. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River, which crosses the park and is the primary source of fresh water for wildlife. This quiet park is famous for its elephant migration, birdlife, and authentic safari atmosphere. Packed lunch at midday, and at the end of the afternoon’s game drive, you will make your way to Ang'ata Tarangire Camp which is inside the park, and have your night there. Day 2 Tarangire National Park Early in the morning, embark on a thrilling hot air balloon ride over the park. Following the balloon ride, enjoy an exciting game drive while descending towards Mto wa Mbu. Once in Mto wa Mbu, have the opportunity to experience a tour that includes a visit to the Maasai community, a cycling adventure, and a walk through the vibrant cultural markets. Afterward, continue your journey to Suricate Boma Lodge for the evening. Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha Be sure to wake up early today so there is no delay on your descent into the famous Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you arrive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be amazed by the beauty around you. Even more so when you arrive at the crater's edge and take in the fantastic view over one of the natural wonders of this world. The crater of this inactive volcano is approximately 3 million years old, 20km² in size, and the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world. Due to its natural borders, the wildlife in the crater is amazing. The crater is home to the Big Five and offers an excellent chance to spot the rare black rhino. Throw hyenas, zebras, buffalos, and elephants into the mix, and you have the perfect canvas for a pretty awesome safari experience. At the end of the afternoon, after exploring this park with its groundwater forest, commence the drive back to Arusha in your hotel where it all started, at mid-afternoon.
