Description

Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Mikumi National Park Early departure from Dar es Salaam through scenic countryside and villages. Afternoon game drive in Mikumi: elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and lions. Introduction to safari life. Overnight stay: Mikumi Safari Lodge / Tan Swiss Lodge. Day 2: Safari in Mikumi and cultural experience Morning and afternoon game drive in the vast plains of Mikumi. Visit to a village: traditions, warrior culture, dances, and jewelry making. Exchange with elders and women's groups. Overnight stay: Mikumi Safari Lodge / Tan Swiss Lodge. Day 3: Mikumi → Nyerere National Park (Selous) Drive to Nyerere National Park. Check-in at lodge/camp on the Rufiji River. Sunset boat safari: hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. Overnight stay: Rufiji River Camp / Selous Riverside Camp. Day 4: Safari in Nyerere & Swahili village experience Morning game drive: elephants, buffalo, lions, and rare wild dogs. Afternoon visit to a Swahili fishing village: basket weaving, fishing, and coastal culture. Dinner under the stars. Overnight: Rufiji River Camp / Selous Riverside Camp. Day 5: Walking safari → Dar es Salaam Early morning walking safari with armed ranger: reading animal tracks, discovering plants and small animals. Breakfast and return to Dar es Salaam. End of the trip.
