Day 1: Dar Es Salaam to Nyerere National Park Morning depart from Dar Es Salaam for Nyerere National Park by a car you will have a short break for hot lunch in Kibiti. The journey to Nyerere National Park will take about 5 to 6 hours. Arrive for afternoon boat safari along the mighty Great Rufiji River. Boat safari brings you into close contact with hippo, crocodile and fantastic birdlife. Animals make their way to the river to drink and boat may approach elephant, waterbuck and other on the river banks to within a few meters. Crocodile glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippo appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam. Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner Day 2: Full Day Game Drive In Nyerere National Park After breakfast in the morning enjoy full day game drive by modified safari vehicle with a professional guide. Great animals sightings including all the great favorites lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and all the other major species including the now rare African hunting dog. You will also see a large variety of birds, wonderful scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with vast views of far off mountains, in the afternoon packed lunch and some time to rest. Your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch animals coming to drink, in the evening you will head back to the lodge for a delicious sunset dinner when you’re ready and then retire for the night. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Day 3: Nyerere National To Park Dar Es Salaam Today will be ‘departure day’ An early morning tea or coffee will be served at lodge before breakfast and heading out, Start the day earlier on a game walk. Accompanied by an experienced guide and an armed ranger, walk out into Africa’s largest wilderness, learn about the complex eco-system that it embraces, encounter the thrills and be enthralled at the wonder of being at the heart of nature. Return to lodge for a splendid breakfast after breakfast we departure for Dar Es Salaam, your guide will drop you at the hotel of your choice or at the airport.
