Description

Begin your adventure with an early morning drive from Arusha through the Great Rift Valley. The journey is filled with stunning scenery, Maasai villages, and volcanic plains. Arrive at Lake Natron in the afternoon and settle into your tented camp. In the evening, take a guided walk to the lake shores to see thousands of flamingos and other bird species. Enjoy the peaceful sunset before returning for dinner and rest. Start your trek around midnight with your local mountain guide. The climb to the summit (2,962 meters) takes about 5–6 hours. Reach the top just in time for sunrise, where you’ll witness spectacular views of Lake Natron, the Rift Valley, and surrounding volcanoes. Descend back to the base and return to your lodge for a late breakfast and rest. Spend the afternoon visiting the nearby waterfalls, where you can swim and refresh. After breakfast, visit a local Maasai boma to learn about their traditions, daily life, and connection to the sacred mountain. This is a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange and photos. Later, begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving by evening.
