Your journey begins in Kigoma, where you'll take a scenic boat trip across the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tanganyika, surrounded by the dramatic slopes of the Gombe mountains. On Day 2, the main event awaits. Accompanied by a professional park ranger, you will trek through the lush tropical forest, following the sounds and signs of Gombe's habituated chimpanzee families and variety birds species. Experience the thrill of coming face-to-face with these fascinating primates as they go about their daily lives—grooming, foraging, and playing in the canopy. This magical, hour-long encounter is a truly life-changing moment. But the adventure doesn't end there. You'll have the chance to do kayak and hike to iconic sites like Jane's house, Jane's chimps feeding station, or trek to the serene Kakombe Waterfall. The package also includes a variety of other activities, from guided forest walks to spotting diverse bird species and other primates, to relaxing or swimming on the sandy beaches. Day 3: Lake Tanganyika Exploration & Farewell Your final day begins with a delicious breakfast. Before your departure, you'll have the option for one last forest walk or an exhilarating excursion on Lake Tanganyika. You can swim in the clear, fresh waters of the world's longest freshwater lake, or simply enjoy a final boat ride, taking in the spectacular scenery. After your chosen activity, we'll begin our journey back to Kigoma via a scenic boat trip. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station, NB: This day depends with your departure arrangements, If it's Early departure time then you will have breakfast and boat ride to Kigoma. There will be possibilities for Kigoma sightseeing to visit palm kernel oil factory, Visiting Local and Town markets, as well Dr Livingstone Museum ujiji. The tour involves physical activities like hiking and trekking Participants should be in good health and have a moderate fitness level. Viewing time with the chimpanzees is limited to 1 hour to ensure their well-being. The minimum Age for chimpanzee trekking is 15 years and above. Wear long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, and comfortable hiking shoes. A waterproof jacket and insect repellent are highly recommended. Expect weak Wi-Fi, and Network connection.
