Just a few hours from Dar es Salaam, Mikumi offers vast plains, abundant wildlife, and an authentic safari experience. Lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and many other animals await you in an exceptional natural setting, far from the crowds. Day 1: From Dar es Salaam to Mikumi – SGR train ride & evening safari Start your adventure with a comfortable and scenic ride on the SGR train from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro. Upon arrival, you'll be picked up and transferred by road to Mikumi National Park. After settling in at Camp Lilac Mikumi, enjoy a relaxing lunch before heading out on a sunset safari, looking for giraffes, elephants, antelopes and other wildlife under the golden light of the savannah. Day 2: Full Safari – Back to Dar es Salaam by SGR train After an early breakfast at Camp Lilac Mikumi, set off on a full safari through the park's beautiful scenery. You'll have the chance to get up close and personal with lions, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, and many other iconic animals. In the afternoon, you'll be transferred to Morogoro station for a comfortable return to Dar es Salaam on the SGR train.
