Description

Day 1 Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport and game drive Tarangire National Park Upon arriving early at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our guide will meet you, provide a brief overview of your safari, and drive you to Tarangire National Park, located just 1.5 hours from Arusha. The day will be filled with incredible wildlife viewing, as Tarangire is home to more elephants per square kilometer than any other park in Tanzania. You’ll have the opportunity to see a variety of species, including endangered ones such as ebony trees, pythons, cheetahs, African wild dogs, and both lesser and greater kudu. The park also boasts over 550 bird species, surpassing even Serengeti in diversity. After a delicious lunch, we’ll continue with a game drive until around 4:00 pm. We’ll then head to Manyara, just an hour away, for an overnight stay, ready for the next day’s adventure in Lake Manyara National Park. Main Destination: Tarangire National Park Accommodation: Africa Safari Lake Manyara Day 2 Lake Manyara + Cultural tour in Maasai Village Wake up earlier and have breakfast, pick up around 07:00 from your lodge, and drive 15-20 minutes towards the Lake Manyara entry gate. In the morning you will be on the base of the Great Rift Valley (Lake Manyara National Park), for a game drive. The park is home to tree-climbing lions, hippos, elephants, Zebra, Buffalo, giraffes, Baboons, Blue and Vervet monkeys, Warthog, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded. This park contains also five distinct vegetation zones. Thus, supporting a large variety of birds and animals. You will be able to explore this amazing view from the escarpment and descend to the park to meet varieties of rich wildlife, alkaline lakes, birds, and many attractions. Manyara National Park is also famous for its large flocks of flamingos. After lunch, you visit Maasai village/boma where you will interact and enjoy Maasai culture in their natural settings and drive straight to Kilimanjaro airport for drop off ready for later evening departure to home.
