Description

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Uluguru Mountains – Waterfalls and Camp (6-7 hours of activity) 7:00 am: Pick-up at your hotel in Dar es Salaam; scenic 2-3 hour drive to Morogoro, then to the starting point in Choma Village (picnic en route). 11:00: Start a 3-4 hour moderate hike through tea plantations and misty forests to Choma Falls. Swimming and relaxing at the foot. 3:00 p.m.: 1-hour hike up to Morningside, an abandoned colonial hotel ruin that's now a camp. Evening: Campfire dinner with local food (ugali, grilled veggies, fish); stargazing and stories with the guides. Spend the night in a tent at Morningside Day 2: Summit of the peak and return to Dar (5-6 hours of activity) 6:00 a.m.: Early breakfast; 3-4 hour challenging hike to Bondwa Peak (steep but rewarding trails with ropes in places). Enjoy the views at the top and the picnic. 12:00 PM: 2-3 hour descent to the starting point, with an optional stop at the village for crafts or tea. 3:00 PM: Head back to Dar es Salaam by car, arriving around 6:00 PM. Drop off at your hotel.
