This high success rate is a testament to the route's extended duration, allowing for excellent acclimatization. Your journey commences in Moshi, a vibrant town in Tanzania recognized as the gateway to Kilimanjaro. After conquering the summit, you'll return to Moshi to celebrate your accomplishment and unwind. The 10-day Lemosho Route is considered moderately challenging. It is suitable for trekkers with good fitness levels and some prior high-altitude trekking experience. The extended itinerary guarantees gradual acclimatization, enhancing your chances of summiting. Day 1: Londorossi Gate (2,250m) to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820m) Distance: approximately 6 kilometers. Time: 3–4 hours. Highlights: Start at Londorossi Gate, trek through lush rainforests, and reach Mti Mkubwa Camp. Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820m) to Shira 1 Camp (3,505m) Distance: approximately 8 kilometers. Time: 5-7 hours. Highlights: Traverse moorland terrain, witness panoramic views, and reach Shira 1 Camp.
