Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp - Drive from Moshi to Machame Gate (1,800 meters/5,905 feet). - Begin the trek through lush rainforest to Machame Camp (2,835 meters/9,301 feet). - Hiking time: 5-7 hours. Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp - Ascend through moorland and rocky ridges to Shira Camp (3,750 meters/12,303 feet). - Enjoy stunning views of Mount Meru and the Shira Plateau. - Hiking time: 4-6 hours.
